Vehicle Standards

To ensure a safe, reliable, and high-quality experience for all users, all vehicles listed on Aurova must meet the following standards. This policy is a part of our Terms of Service. Hosts are responsible for ensuring their vehicles comply with these standards at all times.
1. General Requirements
- Location: Vehicles must be registered and located within the United States.
- Registration: The vehicle must have a valid, current registration in the host's name. The registration must match the name on the host's Aurova account.
- Insurance: The vehicle must meet your state's minimum insurance requirements.
2. Vehicle Condition & Maintenance
- Safety: All vehicles must be in safe, roadworthy condition, free of known defects, and compliant with all applicable safety standards. This includes functional brakes, tires with adequate tread, and operational lights.
- Cleanliness: Vehicles must be clean inside and out for each rental.
- Maintenance: Hosts must follow the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule.
3. Eligibility Criteria
a. Age and Mileage
- Vehicles must be no more than 12 years old.
- Vehicles must have fewer than 130,000 miles.
- Exceptions for specialty or classic cars may be made on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for consideration.
b. Title Status
Vehicles must have a "clean" title. We do not permit vehicles with the following title brands:
- Salvage
- Rebuilt
- Junk
- Lemon
- Flood
- Fire
c. Vehicle Value
The total market value of the vehicle must not exceed $150,000. This is to ensure appropriate insurance coverage can be provided.
4. Vehicle Types
a. Permitted Vehicles
Most standard passenger vehicles are permitted, including sedans, SUVs, coupes, sports cars, and trucks.
b. Prohibited Vehicles
The following vehicle types are not permitted on the platform:
- Recreational Vehicles (RVs)
- Limousines
- Passenger vans with more than 8 seats
- Motorcycles, scooters, or similar vehicles
- Vehicles requiring a commercial driver's license
- Farm equipment or construction vehicles
5. Compliance and Enforcement
Aurova reserves the right to remove any listing that does not meet these standards. We may request documentation (e.g., maintenance records, registration) at any time to verify compliance. Failure to comply may result in account suspension.
